*The first thing is to get enough information about your employer. It would be impressive for your potential employer to know that you have something to offer them with your skills. You can do this by listing your abilities and skills in detail and stating that you would be pleased to extend those skills into the company. Do not just say that you would have pleasure working for the company, but also show how your skills will benefit the company. It will also be of advantage to mention that you believe in the company"s mission statement and that you will work towards accomplishing it if you get a position.

*The second thing that you know is that a good resume should offer only the information related closely to the job you would like to get. This means that you should not include details that your employer may find unnecessary. For example, if you held a part time job working as a baby sitter, you should list only the skills that are important such as client relations, baby care and pet care.

*Organizing your experiences is the other thing that you need to consider. Knowing how to organize them is essential. A good way to do this is to use bullet points or group them into short paragraphs. Avoid huge block paragraphs for these are harder to read. Breaking up your skills into short paragraphs or by using bullets will help you list all your important skills and the person who will read your resume will not lose or fail to grasp the main points.

*The other important thing that you should do when writing a resume as a college student is to provide a skills summary. Such a summary will be a good idea because you may not have an impressive job experience yet. The summary will provide the person who reads your resume with the appropriate overview of the jobs that you have held.
