Security guards work in various applications and at all hours of the day. They work directly with the public, inmates, customers, other employees of a business and in special offices where they monitor security cameras. Additionally, security guards must respond to a wide variety of events that may compromise the security of the business or event they offer security for. Security guards may offer assistance in minor problems like verbal arguments among co-workers, physical disputes among teenagers or deal with more major problems like drug-use, fires and terrorism.
