Even better, if you read up about the company you are applying to and show an awareness of their history and current standing in the market you will prove that you are enthusiastic to be an employee.

Preparation is key for interviews. There are a myriad of books and websites out there that will help you enormously when it comes to anticipating the types of questions you will be asked during an interview. After all, when it comes down to it, most interviews are similar in that the questions you are asked are set to assess how well you fare when it comes to key skills, such as problem solving, leadership and teamwork.

The best way to prepare for these questions - particularly the "tell me about a time when youò€¦" ones - is to come up with answers beforehand. Countless individuals have gone into interviews containing these questions unprepared and ended up floundering when asked to recall a moment they went all out to ensure a disgruntled client walked away happy.

If you can"t reel it off right away, work out your answers beforehand. That way, your interview will continue smoothly and it will become apparent that you have done your homework. This approach will show your interviewers that you are willing to prepare, work hard and excel when it comes to the work itself.
