If you have a lot of experience and want to stay in the same field, the Chronological Resume is one of the best ways to present your information. In it, you list your past jobs in the reverse order. It"s often called the Reverse Chronological. But be careful. Long gaps in your employment history will stand out like a sore thumb!÷  Unless you have a good excuse!

The Functional Resume is great for showing off you talent and job skills. In fact, that"s exactly what you do. After your objective or summary, you"ll list the things you do, starting with the things you do well. You can also use the Functional Resume to focus on certain skill if you want to steer your career in another direction.÷  This type of resume is great for a career change.

The Combination Resume is a combination of the Chronological and Functional Resume Types. It allows you to list your skills, then follow that with your your employment history.÷  Job gaps are less important for this type of resume, but you should be prepared to answer those types of questions in a job interview.

Use the different types of resumes to highlight your strong points. It can help focus your job search and help you get calls for the interviews you want.
